Cheder behaviour policy and notes for parents/carers

Smartphones, smart watches and other internet-connected devices may not be used by children during Cheder classes. Any such devices should be handed to Cheder teaching staff at the start of the class and will be returned at the end. Devices will be kept in a lockable box. Kehillah North London does not accept liability for property kept in the box.
Children who have Hebrew learning materials that they take home with them, for example their own Zman Licroah exercise books, should bring these to classes.
Children are expected to behave respectfully towards other learners and teaching staff, and towards the building in which Cheder is taught. Where an individual child is disruptive, this will be communicated to their parent/carer.
Parents/carers should notify Kehillah/ Cheder in good time of any changes to their child’s circumstances or personal details, including changes to collection arrangements or permission for their child to go home unaccompanied.

Expectations of parents/carers

If you are attending services, your child will join you in the service when the Cheder session finishes.
If you are not attending services, you must collect your child at 12.30pm, when Cheder finishes.
If your child has permission to go home unaccompanied, they must leave the building when Cheder finishes. Children cannot remain in the building unaccompanied once Cheder has ended.
